🔎 We're looking for a Junior VOIP Platform Support Specialist to support our internal VoIP operations. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with a foundational understanding of VoIP or IT systems who’s eager to grow their skills in a hands-on, supportive environment.
📈 This is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience with production telephony infrastructure and to grow into more advanced VOIP engineering roles over time.
Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting steps (connectivity checks, user settings, softphone issues, etc.).
- Triage and respond to incoming VOIP-related support tickets and incident reports from internal users.
- Accurately document issues, actions taken, and resolutions in our support and documentation tools.
- Escalate complex or system-level issues to senior team members following clear escalation paths.
- Monitor system dashboards and alerts under guidance, identifying obvious signs of issues.
- Participate in team meetings, learning sessions, and knowledge sharing.
- Help maintain clear and up-to-date support documentation and how-to guides.
Requirements
- Some prior experience or strong interest in VOIP systems, IT support, or network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (IP addresses, NAT, ports, DNS).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn on the job.
- Ability to follow established processes and know when to ask for help.
- Comfortable using help desk/ticketing tools (e.g., Jira, Zendesk) or eager to learn.
- Business level proficiency in English or above (equivalent to B2 or above in CEFR)
Nice to have:
- Exposure to platforms like Asterisk, FreePBX, 3CX.
- Familiarity with Linux or terminal-based systems.
- Familiarity with SIP/RTP protocols
